Hi,

I have been getting lyme symptoms since start 2008. In australia where testing difficult as it supposedly doen't exist, etc.

My sumptoms are indicative of lyme, bart and babs. Originally had lots of tingling, numbness, fatigue, blurred vision in right eye, sweats, foot pain, anxiety has been a big thing, twitching plus crawling & vibrating feelings.

Anyway have been herxing on just about everything and achieved return of health up to about 85%.

I feel I've been maybe plateauing/sliding backwards recently.

Had heart palps & fatigue come back. Also getting lots of muscle aches in calves and some minor jerking of muscles in arms and legs. I have also had an increase in muscle twitching and blurred vision in right eye.

I started tinidazole about 2 months ago. I have been on rifampin and biaxin for about 5 months I think. When I started biaxin didn't really herx.

I am seeing my doctor (not LLMD) on Thursday. I am thinking about getting rid of the rifampin and biaxin and replacing with zithromax and bactrim. I will keep on the tini. Also plan to add artimesinin.

Any thoughts??

I think my protocol just needs a shake up and I haven't really targeted babs specifically yet. I am unable to get mepron or malron as our health system will only allow it for specific illnesses & a we don't have lyme here apparently its not going to work.

Bactrim, Biaxin (or zith) and artemesinin is my favorite combo...it seems to cover about everything.

Thanks Charlie. I've read a lot of your posts on this and they sound promising.

I think the bactrim/zithro/artemisinin sounds like a good combo. You said you feel like you are plateauing, so it is probably worth it to give something new a shot. Good luck!

ps---i feel like artemisinin is pretty effective against babesia for me at least. Not sure if it can "seal the deal," but i think it's all a guessing game, and honestly, i think it's possible to beat babs with just herbs.....

I also think it's possible to beat it without mepron or malarone.
