I'm 4+ months into treatment for Lyme and Bart.
2 weeks ago, my LLMD had me double my bactrim dose. I also take mino and zith, I take different meds different days (pulsing).
At first I didn't see much difference, but then I started to feel a lot of worsened symptoms.
This week, I'm just beyond wiped out, terrible life-sucking fatigue, I'm waking up exhausted, and barely even moving around my apartment.
I've taken the whole week off from work, except for a few hours on Tues.
Could this all be from the doubled Bactrim dose I began two weeks ago? Is this possibly a good sign of healing, or is it a setback?
The 2 weeks or so BEFORE my increased dose, I was doing great, working long days and very active. The contrast to how I feel now is part of why it is difficult for me to understand.
I have a phone consult with my LLMD next week. Any ideas for specific Q's I should ask are also appreciated.
Thanks.

Did you experience delayed herxing from other abx? If so, then I'd consider this latest herx to be typical for you.
I've taken similar pulsed abx combos. For me the herx starts the next day, and usually peaks the 2nd day. If I feel bad outside my normal pattern, I can account for it in other ways (stress, etc.).

When I first started Bactrim, I felt very sick within hours.
It is hard for me to say how long my Herx's have lasted in the past. For about 2 months, I had a pattern of going between physical and emotional highs and lows. My LLMD said that is consistent with Bart and pulsing.
My current situation is different, since my negative response (if that's what it is!) came on slower and is much more constant. But I only changed the dose of one of the 3 abx, so maybe that is why?
It is so hard to say what is my pattern versus what could be from outside factors (stress etc.) and I suppose that's a common frustration without an easy answer.
Thanks.
