Do you know if taking green tea capsules gives the same effect as drinking green tea?

Also... I drink green tea but ONLY decaf.

If I take green tea capsules.. will I get the caffeine in green tea?

The bottle only states that no "additional" things have been added.

Thanks!

I THINK you would get the caffeine. I can ask my ND next time I see him if nobody here knows.

Don't you want the buzz!!?? [Big Grin]

There is something in green tea that is very calming so that may balance out any buzz from caffeine - for some. I still can fly to the moon with a cup of regular green tea, though.

DA GOILS!!!!!How youze doin'? Me? Da same...

Depends on the product...some are decaf, some are not...some are organic, some are not. However, I take Green Tea Extract (organic) capsules from:

www.invitehealth.com

This company has very high quality Neutraceuticals
formulated by Dr. Jerry Hickey, Paramacist, and the capsules are equivalent to 6-10 cups of tea. They also have liquid drops of green and white tea and many other supplements.

Watch your Folic Acid level...greet tea inhibits Folic Acid and can mess with your Homocysteine levels.

Peace, Love and Wellness,
JRW

Agreed invite health makes one of the getter green tea product, however, I think the tincture is more bio absorable. http://www.invitehealth.com/browse.cfm/4,59.html

Indeed, if you are taking a lot of green tea you need to increase your folic acid.

You can listen to Jerry Hickey's show on the internet and will learn a wealth of information and also Alan Pressman's show which follows, which I think is an even better show. The guy is a cutting edge clinical nutritionist.

They archive their shows on their websites so you can listen to them any time if you can't listen to them live.

http://www.drpressman.com/

Invite health has a nutritionist on staff at every store that you can call for advice and Alan Pressman also has a person you can call for free nutritional advice.

While neither of them really never get into lyme disease, not sure why perhaps it's too contoversial, they offer a wealth of information about nutrition and supplements.
