They have Roast Beef on sale 5 Sandwiches for $5. I love roast beef, so I picked up 5 yesterday. Between yesterday and today I ate 4 of them in total.

I put one pack of Horshradish on each sandwich and all of a sudden tonight I'm getting Air Hunger attacks. I havn't taken anything else that could have caused this, so I'm just asking to try and figure this out.

I felt it a little earlier, so I got on my treadmill to try and get my breathing regular. It worked while I was on the treadmill doing a fast walk, but tonight, it really came on strong. I ate the sandwich hours ago.

Also had some garlic bread with dinner earlier.

I took a 0.25mg of Xanax and I'm calmed down, but breathing is still off.

Any thoughts ?

Don't know...but I love horsey sauce! [Big Grin]

I do know that when I was treating myself for yeast/fungus, the only thing to ever make me herx was garlic. And it only happened once. I tried a gazillion different things, but that's the one that did it.

I hope you get feeling better. [Smile]

every time I eat a too big piece of wasabi the vapors travel straight into my brain and cause a herx. Anything with volatile vapor has potential to cause a brain herx. Try some Rizol drops undiluted under tongue - instant big herx.

I am sure it was yummy, but I seriously doubt you can herx from it...

Not everything makes you herx----

not to be rude but statements like this is why the IDSA thinks we are nuts!

Did you ever hear of indigestion.

Arbys is garbage, go to the supermarket get some fresh sliced store cooked roasted roast beef , warm it in campbels au jus and throw it on a fresh kaiser roll from the store bakery.

Stop eating **** prepared by people that get less an hour than SDI.

I would say horseradish has properties so yes.

Maybe it was a viral herx like EBV

``Horseradish contains many antibacterial agents that are good for preventing infections. To help ward off infections drink one cup of horseradish tea three times per day. To prepare tea, take one cup of boiling water and mix with one teaspoon grated horseradish. Let stand for ten minutes, then strain the tea to remove any excess horseradish.

The horseradish plant grows up to three feet tall and has lush green leaves, but the only part that is used is the root. The root contains a high content of mustard oil and is very favorable in Aromatherapy because of its natural healing abilities. Some of the many uses for horseradish are relieving the symptoms of the flu, sore throat, and bronchitis. It can be made into vinegar, in teas and syrups; it can also be applied as a poultice to improve blood circulation.

Mustard oil is made from grating or cutting the horseradish root, when this happens the water and enzymes flow to form mustard oil. When mustard oil is mixed with honey it is used to relieve symptoms of the flu, like sore throats. Horseradish also aids in digestion by promoting the appetite. Horseradish vinegar is used to fade age spots and freckles. It also when drank, improves the blood flow and helps regulate blood pressure.''

Sorry you had the attack!

But...

Good to know Arby's has a sale on their roast beef sandwiches.

Yum, yum.... gotta get me one.

Or five!

[lol]

I've never heard of horseradish causing a herx.... and never had a herx after eating it... and I use to grow it.

But... this is America... where all things are possible.

Feel better soon!
