Is there a name for this technique? How has it worked for you?

janice,

yes, i pulsed also for 18 months.

i was 3 days on doxy; 2 days off; then
3 days of biaxin, 2 days off; then doxy again

i used a special calendar in bathroom marking 3 D's on each day; showing OFF for 2 days; then 3 B's for 3 days, and OFF for 2 days, then 3D's again.

then i would mark off daily when my pills were taken!!

i think it helped on herxing as well...

Are there benefits to this other than giving the body a break? Because my body seems to like

antibiotics. I don't have any problems with them.

Does this create resistance on the part of bacteria in the body? I have been afraid to do this for that reason. I have always been told that taking any antibiotic for less than 5 days creates a situation that encourages bacterial resistance to antibiotics.

I am off antibiotics because I can no longer handle them continuously. My LLMD does not prescribe pulsing, but if it was safe, he would be open to it.

My LLMD I am told is world class and he highly endorses pulsing in his literature.
