Last winter I was put on doxy tablets, 100mg 2xday for the first month. The second month the dose was to be doubled. I went to my neighborhood pharmacy in a grocery store and they gave me capsules. I was quite ill the whole month with fatigue and a screwed up digestive system and stopped taking meds altogether.
A few weeks ago I got an LLMD who once again put me on the 100mg doxy tablets 2xday. As I had a few of the capsules left, I decided to use them several months into the treatment and immediately started getting ill once again.
My conclusion: the capsules are dumping the drug into my stomach too fast. It is also possible that I got a bad batch. I recommend taking the tablets at any rate.

My doctor gave me tabs instead of capsules and it has helped with my stomach.
