Has anyone out there tolerated cipro when unable to tolerate levaquin? I got tendonitis in my left heel after taking levaquin.
Saw my llmd yesterday and he gave me a script for cipro instead for bartonella. Isn't that in the same family of drugs, and can't it also cause tendonitis or ruptures?
I am afraid to take it. I am just now starting to see an improvement in my heel and don't want to blow it.
Are there any other drugs effective for bartonella besides levaquin (tendonitis), cipro, and rifampin (chronic diarrhea)? I feel like I am running out of options.
Thanks.
