I have raised, red, coin-shape and coin-size skin lesions on my neck below my ear. They've been there for a month or so.
I showed them to a friend who said they look like "discoid" lesions, often associated with lupus. But I'm well aware that Lyme can mimic lupus and other illnesses in many ways.
Does anyone else have these? I have a phone consult with my LLMD this week, and will email him a pick in advance for his opinion.
I'm curious if others have experienced this type of rash?
Thanks.

Gosh, I thought I had every known skin issue known to mankind, but I don't think I have that particular one.
I do, though, have shadowy-bruise looking patches on my neck below both ears, but they are not raised. They are more of a dark, tannish color. My LLMD said they are indicative of Babesia.
You have a very good plan to take a picture. I do that all the time. My LLMD has quite a collection of my photos.
Please let us know what he says.

Yop might want a dermatologist to biopsy these. If you can't get in in time, in case the lesions go away, then you could at least, as someone said, photograph them. Biopsy results can make the interpretation even murkier, in terms of Lyme versus lupus, but at least you will know if there is some autoimmunity going on. Also, did the sun play any role in these? If so, then you will hear it is lupus, if the biopsy also shows that.
