Hi,

I'm having some weird urinary issues and would appreciate any advice.

I get a unusual tingling near the urethra and my urine sometimes smells burnt. It is clear and otherwise normal.

I have no feminine itching or burning, this is the only abnormality I notice.

I was treated for yeast, took 1 month of diflucan (100 mg/day) and changed to a sugar-free diet.

These symptoms disappeared when I took a recent abx break, and reappeared almost instantly when I resumed.

(Right now my abx are mino, zith, and factive, but I get these symptoms with just the mino/zith.)

I just had an LLMD appt, but for complicated reasons I didn't get to address this concern in detail.

Could this still be a yeast problem, or does anyone have ideas of what else it could be?

I'm about 8 months into treatment, this only started happening in the past month or so.

It is not painful, but it is unusual and distracting, and causes me some anxiety.

Thanks.

I wonder if the antibiotics are changing the PH of your urine and causing irritation. Have you changed antibiotics recently?

Or maybe there is something new in your diet or something that you are eating more of than you used to that might be causing the irritation?

The smell also makes me think that your urine might be more concentrated. Are you drinking enough water?

Up for others with more experience.
