I am currently taking 1000 mg of Cefuroxine daily. My husband and I are getting ready to take a trip to sunny spain for vacation. I am worried about having adverse reactions to the sun. Does it cause sun sensitivity? It didn't say anything on my container, but wanted to be sure.

Anyone know?

I have been on it since June and have not noticed any increased sun sensitivity.

I have been out in the sun at the beach and park with my daughter and I just make sure that I am diligent about applying sunscreen every 2 hours...more frequently if I am in the water.

I think you will be fine as long as you take the proper precautions.

Good Luck!

I switch from doxy to ceftin in the summertimes. You'll be okay.
