So I was out playing 9 holes of golf the other day -- thankfully I can function to that extent -- and spaced out using some insect repellent. Everything was fine until the last couple of holes.

Noticed a day afterwards that the bite marks are very red and pronounced. Kind of like watching an episode of Survivor and seeing some of the contestants with big red welts from all of those tropical insects.

So since this Lyme and junk stirred up in my system 18 months ago, my skin has been very sensitive. If I climb a tree and my skin rubs against the bark, even with a t-shirt in the way, I look like a mountain lion got a hold of me a few hours later.

While the idea is not to get bit by mosquitos to avoid stuff like West Nile, has anyone noticed that getting bit by a skeeter with all of your inner junk causes the bite marks to be more inflamed?

I suppose this could be a Bartonella effect because I have had a couple of alternative practitioners and my LLMD comment that they think I have Bart.

Dear Ott,

I love to be outside. My spirit is outdooresy. I have decided to carry bug spray in my trunk of the car.

Good question Otto. I have the same thing wrong with me. My skin is so more sensitive now. I'm sure there are others with the same. By the way, I have Bart.
