Both CVS and Wal-Mart pharmacies thought I sounded nuts when I called to find out if they carried bio-identical progesterone creme.
Anyone know where I can buy it at? Feel free to PM if you'd like.
I really want to try this as each month I end up literally in bed prior to and during my periods. Thanks!

Bio-dientical means compounded specifically for you by a compounding pharmacist.
Another (IMO better) idea is getting the glands to heal by using Inno-Vita or Systemic Formulas herbal compounds. They are designed to help heal and NOT take forever. www.inno-vita.com www.systemicformulas.com

I just started Progonol which you can buy online. I got it from my Naturopath. He said the hormone tests were quite unreliable and it takes a month to do.
So we decided I could try a low dose to see how I feel. I started with a 1/8 tspn. daily and if no different then go up to 1/4. This is a body cream. There are also pellets made by the same company which are easier but the cream does not go through the liver so that is what we chose.
Hope that helps although I wonder how safe it is to try this on your own. Take care!

Thanks for your responses. Safety? Who knows. Can't be much worse than synthetic hormones which one of my docs liberally prescribed. The "pill" and I didn't mix, I felt toxic on them and my pain/fatigue actually increased.

Just wanted to add I tested low on cortisol and started supplementation with a natural cortisol supplement months ago with great success. That got me started in thinking if one hormone was off there are others that could be too. I picked up Suzanne Somer's book called Breakthrough at the library and it surprised me on how interesting it is. I cannot put it down. I thought it would just be about menopause hormones but not so-- might be worth the read if anyone is thinking hormones could be off due to Lyme and/or abx.

So glad you had success with that cortisol supplement Ivy, mine was high at night and I'm a bit chicken to try the one recommended by my LLMD.
