I have had tinnitus for many years now. Sometimes it is worse, sometimes it is better.

It changes tones - sometimes very low pitch and sometimes high. And it can be sort of thumping or rhythmic.

I see ads on tv and the internet, but don't know what to trust. Any experience with or good ideas for treatment or cure will be welcome.

I had tinnitus caused by double ear infections that would not go away.

The doctor gave me a nasal spray called nascort and I used it for a few days and it cleared up the problem.

Don't know if it will help your situation but that worked for me.

There is an entire thread on this topic.

I recommend using the SEARCH feature of Lymenet--it's at the top of the page.

You have over 500,000 separate posts available, which covers just about any possible topic related to Lyme.

One of the great benefits--underutilized--of Lymenet!!!

Best,

Cass A

Thank, Cass.
I agree that the SEARCH is a wonderful tool.

I took a look there, and got a lot of un-related posts. Guess I am too lazy to sort through them all.

Still open to suggestions from anyone who has had experience with tinnitus....

I think nasacort is an imunne suppressent? Probably a bad idea to take it.

Research tinnitus + vinpocetine + Ginkgo + B6. Never had the problem, so I have not tried it but there is much written about it.

For what it's worth, the tinnitis I've had due to Lyme abated for about six hours after treating with a PEMF machine for about an hour.

That's a magnet machine, clicking away at 500 gauss strength. I asked an LLMD about this result and he said it sounded like it successfully affected the C8 hearing nerve.

The PEMF machines boost the magnetic energy of the body, such that all things electromagnetic work better. Another fascinating area of study to look into...

By the way, I couldn't believe how quiet it was!
