pinelady,
suggest you add to subject line that you have links below; this sounded like a CURE only type of thing;

Wonderful if it works!! I would love to see those with Morgellens get rid of that awful disease. If it's only alkalinity that is doing it then perhaps wheat grass would work too?
Grandmother - don't mean to divert the post but by score do you mean A1C?? An average of blood sugars over the past 3 months?
That is a very high A1C if that's what you are talking about. That high of an A1C would make one feel pretty bad I would think.
My brother and I both have had amazing results with mangosteen juice for bringing the A1C down. My brother was a brittle diabetic and it brought his down so much that the nurse wanted to know exactly what it was so she could put her daughter on it.
Mangosteen helps with inflammation and lots of other things too. Magnesium is usually low in diabetics as is manganese.
You may want to start a separate thread so that others can suggest things to help with blood sugar. I would add chromium and vanadium to the list of things that can help blood sugars but there are many other supplements too.

Grandmother,
Check out Hulda Clark. She believes that diabetes is caused by a fluke. Google Hulda Clark + diabetes,

Grandmother there is a lot of evidence to suggest it contributes.

My own personal opinion about diabetes is that anything that causes inflammation contributes to insulin resistance which will eventually cause type 2 diabetes if the inflammation is not controlled. Many different infections are likely the cause.
Out of 4 children in my immediate family, I am the only one without diabetes. We are all sick with lyme and probably parasites too.
