After being off meds for 4 weeks due to the swine flu I am ramping back up and I haven't been on Riphamin or allenia before so I am curious to know your experience and thoughts on herxing.
I started mino last week and was horribly sick all week. I then added in Rihpamin then allenia and plaqunil. I have been taking all 4 meds now for the last 3 days and it's been horrible.
I can't stay awake for more than a few hours before I get so tired I crash. I am sleeping so hard that I wake up in severe pain from a limb that has fallen asleep or my back or neck hurts deep in the muscle. I am so nauscious and I don't know what to eat because the thought of eating makes me feel ill.
My skin is so hot to the touch yet my temperature is still so low around 97.4. I've also had loose stool and felt bloated cramping.
How long will I feel like this? I know that I am herxing but this is miserable.
Thanks

wow lymeorsomething that sounds worse then what I am doing. Levaquin gave me so much pain and mepron is so so tough!
I am using allenia inlue of mepron. I don't really want to back off because I know how bad it will be once I have to restart them again. I am just hoping it will all even out. It's been 3 days and it feels terrible but I am going to give it until Sunday.
I am not working THANK GOD so I can be on heavy meds. I am just more interested to know about allenia and riphamin herx since I haven't been on it before.
Thank you!

The alinia was mild for me...granted I only did 9 days but no major herx issues with it...
Rifampin and Mep both increase my fatigue, which may or may not be a herx reaction....
I have had no huge pain issues...other than some achey knees joints occasionally...
Good luck, Smiles...

thanks for following up. You're lucky if you have no pain. I had an insane amount of paid with levaquin and only lasted 2 weeks before having to stop.
My LLMD said she imagined I would have a pretty bad herx on riphamin since I've never been on it in the 5 years I've been treating lyme and co's, but I guess I just forgot how absolutely miserable these meds are. I think I'd take swine flu again over this!
Thank you
