I found a chiropractor very near to me that was willing to help me in my recovery along with my LLMD who is much further away.

He was familier with lyme and had helped a family member of his regain his health during his lyme treatment, also had a few other patients with lyme.

He said he can help me with adjustments, and other therapies. He knew all about the treatment protocol from LLMD specialist.

After my second visit I started to get the internal vibrations again that I haven't had for 5 weeks. This was one of my first lyme symptoms, I had it even before my dx with lyme.

I was getting the electrical stimulation on neck and back with heat pads, then "very gentle adjustments". The adjustments felt so good and my back was beginning to feel much better after 2nd visit in one week. I also layed on a water table which massaged my back, but due to tenderness in kidney area we took that step out.

I began a new abx 5 weeks ago and after 3rd day on this abx the internal vibrations literally disappeared. I find it odd now that they have returned after seeing a Chiropractor. Could it mean that I'm done with this abx? or possibly could Chiropractic visit stirred this up?

What are your ideas on this, does anyone have any knowledge? I know that some LLMD recommend seeing a good Chiropractor, but I also read that the electrical stimulation can cause problems in lyme patients. Herx like reaction...

WOndering if this could be happening to me.

I may skip this week and go back when vibrations are gone. But try heat and adjustments alone without the electrical stimulation pads on muscles.

Just looking for answers, any ideas I can get from anyone here would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

When I go to the chiropractor I skip the electrical stimulation. He can give you the ultrasound minus the electrical.

Chiropractic stirs up stagnant areas around subluxations, so you could be having a herx/healing reaction. Be sure to drink lots of water to flush out the loosened up toxins.

I am in remission, but still had lingering fibromyalgia pain that I thought I would always have. Chiropractic has eliminated that 100%. Even though I don't struggle with pathogens, I did have a strong healing reaction when starting chiropractic.

I'm a believer. I just wish I started with it earlier in treatment.

Be sure you're doing some light, muscular workouts. Pilates or even yoga would be good. You want to develop the muscles to keep the spine from locking up .... old patterns can still develop if your muscles are pulling the bones back out of adjustment.

Why thanks so much, my thoughts are that the electrical stimulation stirred this activity up. The vibrations I get are exactly how this electrical stimulation feels (weird) only mostly in lower extremeties, legs...

I love seeing Chiropractors, I have used them before with injuries and became well.

I will skip that part. I have been wanting to begin some light weight lifting but haven't as yet. Maybe today would be a good day. I think I'll soak in epsom salt bath today [Smile]

THanks sixgoofykids!
