For the past three or four days the lymph nodes on both sides of my groin have been tender and sore. I haven't been on antibiotics for over three months due to them being too harsh on my stomach.

Is there anything I can take (other than antibiotics) to help with this? My stomach has been a real mess the past few weeks too. Doctor says it's IBS. This is the worst I've suffered with it ever for almost a month now.

I hope there's something I can take to clear this up that won't be too harsh on my stomach. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Gary

I assume the swollen glands are a sign of infection in my body. Could lyme disease alone cause this to happen?

Hoping to get some comments to my first post.

Probiotics are good for settling down your stomach and detoxing would be great for the swollen lymph nodes.

I take something called GI Nutrients. I take this along with my probiotics. It helps restore the stomach back to normal.

Entero concentrate is also good for an upset stomach.

LymedOut, thank you for your reply to my questions.

I am taking Theralac right now but just started on them today. I was taking only acidophilus for awhile because of the IBS diet (Specific Carbohydrate Diet) I was on said to only take that one.

I haven't been faring to well on this diet so now trying other things, including taking Theralac. I'm hoping this will help settle my stomach. I have IBS according the to GI doctor, but I believe the stomach issues are really related to Lyme and Co.

I will be checking out the two supplements you mentioned. Thanks so much!

Hey everyone,

Are any of you detoxing? I had swollen lymph nodes under my arms and on the sides of my neck and detoxing really helps. You can either do a detox bath, foot detox or get a portable sauna.

Hopeful,

I think the swollen lymph nodes are caused from bacteria die off. The toxins sometime settle in the lymph nodes.

lpkayak,

Yes, I think a foot detox would be enough. The soles of your feet have the most pores. You will probably have to start off doing them more often to start, maybe about four times a week, and then you could slack off a little. You would be better off finding detox foot bath that can be adjusted in how much it pulls the toxins out but if you can't find one, you can do a home detox yourself.

You can use Epsom salt and hydrogen peroxide but I've heard that the remedy below really helps. I've not used it yet though.

Mustard/Pepper Bath: Mixthe following ingredients inwarm water:Dry Mustard Powder (1 tablespoon), Cayenne Pepper (1teaspoon), 1/2 tsp. dry Ginger Powder, 1/2 tsp. Rosemary Powder and soak for at least 30 minutes. There should be enoughwater to cover just above the ankles.

This foot soak is used as relief from general aches and pains, toxic headaches, increase blood and lymph circulation as well as giving a sense of well-being.

I forgot to add that you will want to dry brush the bottom of your feet before you do the detox.

Pekana remedies, "Big Three", helps with lymph drainage, liver, and kidney drainage issues.

Many with chronic infections also have trouble detoxing naturally, and need some help to remove toxins so they do not recirculate.

Most people who have chronic lyme test positive for KPU.

Check out those threads for help with detox..
