I read in Dr. Burrascano's guidelines about how terrible Quinine/Clindamycin therapy is supposed to be. I also read about it in Dr. S's babesia book.

So far, I feel fine. I am quite shocked. The first couple days, I might have had a little ear-ringing, but today, virtually none. I don't think I'll have to take any breaks to let the ringing (or lack of) subside. I'm also not nauseous, nor do I have any other troubling side effects like vomiting.

In fact, I feel much better on this than I did on Mepron.

I suppose the point of this post is two-fold. To let people know that not everyone has a horror story to tell after using Quinine (in my case, the brand Qualaquin). And also, I would like to know if anyone else out there had an experience like mine?

I am currently on 324 mg of Qualaquin X 3 daily. Is that enough? I think I'm gonna let my doctor know I have virtually no side effects, so maybe they'll increase it.

Now YOU know better! Never ask me stuff like...

"Am I weird?"

You KNOW what my answer will be!

[lol]

As for the no side effects... and maybe I am wrong here..

But if I remember back that far when it was being used more often....

I BELIEVE the side effects came later on during the therapy.

So I am happy for you now.. but just keep that tucked in your pocket for future consideration.

Ok?

That's great!! I had the ringing, but cut my dose to one pill (straight quinine, not Qualaquin) instead of the prescribed two.

I hope you continue to do well on the protocol!
