I've been having pain in my right leg which is caused from circulation problems (according to my ND). He suggested I take Stoneroot, also known as Horse Balm, Ox Balm and Richweed.
It's supposed to help with my leg pain which the doctor believes is related to poor circulation and varicose veins. I bought some Herb Pharm Stoneroot herbal extract. It says to take 30 to 40 drops in a little bit of water 2-4 times a day.
Here's my question, do you think it's OK to take Nattokinase with Stoneroot? Anything to be concerned about taking these two together?
One more thing, I wonder if Horse Chestnut would be a better option for me to take for my leg pain if it's related to circulation?

When I read your post I thought you had mistakenly written Horse Balm for Horse Chestnut.
The stoneroot you got might help dissolve biofilms or kidney stones or gallstones, but don't think it will do much for circulation.
Hubby likes lumbrokinase better than nattokinase. Both can get expensive at high enough doses to help with fibrinogen.
Hawthorne might be another possibility as well as bilberry or even gingko.
I think you will just need to experiment and see what works for you. As long as you add one thing or one formula at a time, there are few interactions between most herbs. But there may be some cummulative effects if you take multiple things which work on the same symptom.

Bea, thanks for you feedback. I appreciate all you do here at lymenet and learn a lot from your informative posts. Your husband is sure blessed to have a caring wife like you taking such good care of him.
Haley, I've been on nattokinase for about a month now. Can't say if it's helping me yet or not. My fibrinogen test was high about six weeks ago and that's why I'm taking it.
I plan to get retested in a couple of months to see if my fibrinogen test improves. I will post the results here after I get them.

I take Horse Chestnut, ginko,(i'm revising the spelling on purpose), and nattokinase. I've been taking them for several years, they work well, and i really need them, i have to have them.
A few months ago i ran out of horse chestnut. I thought, maybe i don;t really need all these pills.
After a day or two i got a strong pain in back of one knee. As soon as i got some more Horse Chestnut pills, the pain went away--- never had it before or since.
I've been taking high dose nattokinase for 3 years. I establish and vary the dose based on my symptoms. If i get even one pain in the lower legs, i immediately take more nattokinase and raise my dose to prevent such pains.
I found i had to take a higher dose of nattokinase when my candida got worse, and i had to lower the dose when my candida improved.
I've posted about this many times.
