I'm off antibiotics for 2 weeks before being tested for lyme and company. I'd like to take advantege of this time to build up my system before starting aggressive abx again.
I know that my body is on that yeast edge and I am using probiotics and diflucan.
What else do you suggest that seemed to help you keep yeast under control?

I use olive leaf extract and it seems to help. I am waiting on blood work from a candida albicans test to see if I still have candida.
I was developing symptoms so I took myself off abx and started the diflucan and nystatin.
Of course you probably know about the candida diet. Basically no sugar, carbs, potatoes, fruit, alcohol. Hmmm basically you should only eat sugar free plain yogurt, meat and vegetables is what i have figured out. Even nuts are supposedly bad I do my best but it is a very hard diet to follow.

The diet thing is really tough right now since I've had some nausea and have been losing weight. I try to keep the overly sweet things to a minimum, but basically if it sounds good I eat it.
I really don't feel much like eating most of the time. I figure even some food is better than none.
What brand of dried garlic capsules do you use? Will eating raw garlic cloves also help. Started chopping up garlic into small pieces and mixing it with small amount of applesauce that does not have added sugar.
There is no after taste or smell of garlic on my breath. Did not know if the capsules were more effective to get to the intestines. I may be interested in trying this. Thanks.

djf - that info is from recollection from a presentation I attended.
Seems that specific treatment for specific strains is not really optimal. Changing that internal terrain inside your body + making it overall an unfriendly place to live will affect more strains.
