This type of coverage stays steady over a few years and some of the IDSA guardians die off and we'll become real patients.
Suddenly your doctor will be saying "I think you have Lyme Disease."

Sad story and absolutely pathetic how doctors treated these patients.

THIS was far and away the BEST coverage I have ever seen! The reporters cared, and covered this so thoroughly. The patient stories were amazing.
BUT...I well up now at all of the children I cared for back when well enough to work. I was an inpatient children's psychiatric nurse. It hurts to know there may have been hope for those who would have been written-off Lyme patients. Kids like Ed were left to deteriorate, and I still remember the anguish in some of the parents' faces.
I HATE learning this now. I cared for Robert, a former park ranger who had developed Parkinson's and mental illness in his early 50's. He was a kind and wonderful man.
None of this had to happen to him, if they'd just tested him, but he's gone by now I am sure.
I LOVED that they told the story of the BIRDS, a huge component of the problem, often left out of Lyme reporting.
I saw that breathy speach and evasive nature of their Cheif Medical Doctor. I could smell the IDSA influence on his breath!
They did a phenomenal job without ever touching on IDSA, or BioWarfare. Maybe there's a follow up to this story. God Bless Canada!

This makes me sick to my stomach - I could cry for all of them..no excuse for ignorance.
How would I put this link on paper for a doctor - anyone know? Obviously those on LN can click on the link but I want to include this on a "References" page for the recent "duck" that i saw.

If it is not "hot", meaning that you cannot click on it, you can type it into the url. http//www. ------type----.
is that what you are asking?

Anyone really think a mainstream doc would care? Aren't there stories like this all over the Internet and on the ILADS website? ILADS docs just have a horrid reputation in the medicine world. Regular docs consider them used car salesmen.
I swear I think the only way they can understand is to fall ill or have a close family member fall ill with TBIs and then get better w/unconventional Lyme Tx.
