My 5 year old daughter was treated for Lyme 2 years ago and has been doing fine since then. Recently she had the flu and today the pediatrician prescribed Zithromax along with "Prednisolone" I guess to ease the hacking cough and wheezing, etc.

I want your informed opinions on whether it's safe/worth it to give this Prednisolone stuff. Thanks.

If her asthma is life threatening, she may have to take it.

What is the dosage and for how long?

She doesn't have asthma. All she has is some post-flu cough and some chest congestion.

On the bottle it says 15 mg /5 ml solution. And to take 1 tsp twice per day for a total of 5 days.
