I am really trying to learn more and figure out the best ways to treat so to best avoid driving the disease to cyst form and also if it does happen how best to get at the cysts so that they do not lay dormant and ready to attack again and give relapse..
"Lyme literate physicians are aware of this situation and often prescribe doxycycline, minocycline, zithromycin, biaxin, in combination with flagyl, tinidazole, or plaquenil (hydroxycholorquine), in rotations as antibiotic treatment, since these have not been shown to cause conversion from the natural form of the bacteria, to the cyst form. However, there was one study showing doxycyline did cause conversion from wild type/natural form, to cysts and L forms, in cell culture. "

Not sure I understand what you're saying, but can tell you that my friends and I, who were treated with high dose mino and zithro had cyst formation galore! Once the cyst busters were applied, the die-off was so bad for a couple of us, it took over a year to clear out.
There are some LLMDs who would rather chase the spiro into cyst form and deal with applying cyst busters to the abx regimen and other meds to combat both forms; leaving the bacteria no where to go.
Still controversial.....

Cell Inhibiting Drugs will lead to cyst.
Cyst form is almost impossible to avoid imo.
I'm on flagyl right now.
