I am 25 years old and I have never had any heart issues. In July of this year I saw a new primary doctor who picked up a slight murmur in my heart beat. I also had swine flu so I thought the high blood pressure of 140/106 and beat was due to swine.

Lyme doc said she couldn't confirm it, she heard something but it wasn't consistent.

I've had low blood pressure ever since I can remember but in July it started to spike. It's now consistently 120-110 over mid 80's to 90's. Normally I am 100-110 over 60-70.

Went back to primary today and the heart murmur is more prominate. She had me do an EKG which was normal, but is considering ordering some additional tests. I've noticed my heart pounding sometime and also sharp pain sometime in my chest but I have never told either doctor about this.

My thyroid is also hypo-My TSH is normal but the break down of T-3 T-4 were off. I just don't understand how I could get a heart problem out of no where. I am not working, I go to physical therapy twice a week, I am doing IV and orals, I have been treating TBD for 4.5 years and I eat organic healthy food.

This this disease just attacking another layer of me?

discouraged!

For me as well.. the thyroid, heart murmur, heart MVP, and higher blood pressure all came on about 4 years after being sick...

I think it is all part of the whole disease...

I have hopes they will resolve as the disease resolves and the body has time to adjust once again back to more normal everthing

I know I was born with a murmur...but for YEARS, no dr ever heard it. Then one day, a dr found it and it freaked me out!!!

Anyway, I have that and A-fib too. Not good. I THINK both of mine are hereditary, but not sure.

Do get things checked out. Be sure to get an echo.

Thanks for the supports. My mom just told me that both my brother and father were born with heart murmors, but that I was not. Maybe you can develop them over time?

Seems to me that either the lyme is attacking another part of me or this is possibly a result from being on abx for so long!
