TR images there are multiple {10} hyperintense areas in the white matter of both cerebral hemispheres, mostly in the periventricular regions, measuring form 2 mm too 1 cm in diameter each.
these are the so called UBOs unidentified bright objects and may represent ischemic changes or demyelinating disease.
what does demyelinating disease means!!!!

i am going to call to change my appt. to get my blookwork exactly after 1o days, maybe, ill try for 15 of janurary, and get in the first of feb for the results.

Street, I had 2 UBOs show up on my brain scan. I got good lyme treatment, and the UBOs are now gone.
The docs list everything that can cause UBOs. One possible cause is a disease that takes the covering off of your nerves (the covering is called the myelin sheath). Then, they can't work right.
In your case, it is not demylenating disease causing the UBOs. It is lyme disease.
An example of a demylenating disease is Multiple Sclerosis. Lyme disease can immitate Multiple Sclerosis symptoms. Some people even believe that multiple sclerosis IS lyme disease.

I had a scan a few years ago and was told I had white matter, "speck" on my brain and was told it was from migraines/severe headaches. They said headaches can cause this white matter to appear. Not sure if the doctor is accurate, but that is what I was told?! Just did another scan last week and still awaiting the results.
