Hi. I had 1 amalgam removed on Wed. That is the only one I had.
Now (Sun) it is still a pretty sensitive and uncomfortable to chew on that side..
It's not excruciating or anything, just wondering if it is normal to still feel discomfort 5 days later.
The removal was done by a biodentist who is very good.

You might have him look at it to be sure the filling isn't hitting wrong. It could just need filing down.
It's normal for fillings to be sensitive to heat/cold for some time.

Thanks - I am also having some weird pains from the KPU treatment so it's kind of hard to tell, but I guess it's mostly sensitivity.
If it's not better soon I'll give my dentist a call.
Good luck canefan

I definitely think it plays a role in it. Any time I've had dental work done, it appears to have messed up my bite causing IMO a huge TMJ issue.
When you think about it, the dentist is changing your entire bite.
