Thanks TG. I have the Solaray brand. I think it is also good for arthritic pain (anti inflammatory) and it's a major antioxidant and then, an antihistimine. It's the antihistimine part I'm really hoping will work. I don't think they've done studies in humans but I'll be my own guinea pig at this point!
I chose the added combo (as opposed to Q alone) because bromelian is good for digestion, which I need some help with too.
And in my opinion, vita C is just a good thing all around!

Now I remember..There were a couple of studies that sited good for athletic endurance but who knows...
If it also acts as a antioxidant then even better!
I hate all antihistames which is why I started taking this.

sorry- could you explain the antihistamine part? I was having a discussion about pain and herbal pain relief on another forum and someone from the naturopathic world who's unfamiliar with Lyme started talking about antihistamines for pain. Is that why you're taking it?

Apparently it is a natural antihistimine. My immune system is completely haywire and I always need an antihistimine and I'm tired of zyrtec and benadryl so I am trying this.
Recently I found a cal mag D supp that I can tolerate that has actually made a difference in the muscle twitching and spasms so now I feel I can move on to something else.
Been having really strange ear problems and dr. did not think it was from taking too much zyrtec but thought, in part, it is due to allergies themselves. I am severely allergic to many things.
So if I can get my immune system to calm down, I may be in a better place to keep combating the lyme conglomeration of symptoms. I do think the allergies are getting in the way of everything.
So that is why I am taking it. Severe allergies can cause extreme fatigue too. And all the swelling inside the body can likely contribute to the pain. At least possibly. In part.
I imagine the antihistimine for pain would be like taking benadryl during a herx to stop the immune system from attacking itself or over reacting.

Painted Turtle, this is a great antihistamine. I have taken and like the Solaray combination (QBC plex).
Quercetin alone has been shown to be as effective as Zyrtec. The combination with Bromelian and Vit C seems to make it more effective.
Give it a try. If your allergies are severe it may take a couple weeks to get things tamed down.

I forgot to add, no side effects that I know of. Zyrtec can make some people drowsy, this combo won't.

I took it for a year for inflammation. I had no side effects from it.

Hi,
Has anyone experienced heart palps with taking Quercetin?
Daughter has been taking more Quercetin over last few weeks, and she has been mentioning more heart palps.
She had problems with Benadryl, so I wonder if Quecertin may be the problem.

Quercetin is an anti-malarial, which means it also treats Babesia. She could be having herx reactions to it. I did, but I stayed on it because it really reduces my inflammatory load.
