I am having an allergic reaction to every bandage and skin prep they use on me. Have had picc since last Aug, but don't know how much longer the integrity of my arm will hold out.
As of ER visit on Sat., now have 4x4 sterile gauze pad with paper tape, and coran wrapped around to secure everything.
Nurse came today, but arm does not look much better. Was allergic to chloraprep, so now using betadine. I think that's not agreeing either. Can't find any other alternatives.
Anyone with picc have this problem?

IM is not nearly as effective as IV. I sure hope you can find a way to keep your IV. There has to be something that you wouldn't be allergic to.
