I posted below about my doc wanting me to stop meds until I see him. If my previous were a herx, then Im afraid i will loose what i gained.

If I know how long it will take for the babs to reproduce what I potentially killed off then I can try to make it to the apt before that happens.

So how long does it take?

I've been ill for around 15 years - untreated for at least 9... I don't think you have to worry about stopping meds for a few weeks. Just my opinion...

I can't answer specifically about babesia reproduction. I'm not sure if anyone actually knows. I don't even think they really know what it is they are treating for sure in many cases. There are over 100 strains of babesia...

There's a doctor who's name we can't mention here who would have further info. He has alot of info on his website.

Supposedly a 7 day cycle

But I wouldn't worry about it too much.

My LLMD was telling me about this this past week. She said that she had had patients who were "successfully" treated for Babesia who relapsed 18 months later. Maybe it takes that long to establish the infection again?

I have just been reading about this in the 2009 updated babesia book.

I know for me, my babesia symptoms have re-emerged 18 months after I finished treatment.....looking back, I don't think the treatment was adequate.....my fault, not the LLMD's.

Interesting.
