I don't know what is going on. I woke up a couple of nights ago and ended up going to the ER with a racing heart that wouldnt let me sleep, chills, and diarrhea.

I thought maybe it was something I ate. They did an EKG and cardiac enzymes and all OK. Slight temperature. I was later sent home.

I keep having the diarrhea, and past 2 days, I wake up in a cold sweat and chills. And I just feel weak and a dull / fuzzy feeling in my head.

Could this be my babesia coming back, or is there some bug going around? I feel just awful.

There are a lot of bugs going around for sure. My son's school is infested with the stomach bug...vomiting and diarrhea the nurse says. I'm ready to put him in a bubble!

It really could be either. Are you nauseated?

I hope you are feeling better. How long did you treat babesia?

Sounds like a bug! ( but I sure wouldn't know for sure!! )

Get some rest and see how you feel in a few days. If the racing heart comes back, get it checked out.

There's a bug going around. I'm in remission and it sounds much like what I got last week. My non-Lymie daughter has been sick since last night.

Yours sounds worse than mine, but it's bound to be since you still are dealing with Lyme and co. Hang in there!

Are you on antibiotics -- if so my first thought would be c. difficile or maybe an overgrowth of other bad G.I. bacteria such as klebsiella. The diarrhea is not really a babs symptom.

Treated babesia for 6-7 months. I am on roxithromycin for lyme but I actually missed taking it a few days and that was when I got this.

When I then took my roxithromycin again, the heart symptoms improved, but the diarrhea seems to be worse.

Still running to the bathroom every time I eat. How would I know if its C. difficile or a GI issue?

No son jsut got over a terrible bug as well. Dr and school said it was going aroung. If it is a bug you should start feeling better soom. I think his lasted about 24 hours. maybe a day and a half. His came on real quick also

Take care, Karen

I just read your post again ans see where you said its been going on a couple of days. You should be starting to feel better soon..if not...there seems to be something more going on than just a "simple" bug.

It could be the bug, virus etc stirred something else up ???

Well, the good news is I finally had a solid bowel movement (sorry if I gross anyone out [puke] ).

I am still feeling weak, tired, and lightheaded. They are going to do a full cardiac workup on me, so we will see what that shows.

Less chills and no waking up in a cold sweat today, now if the fatigue goes away, I'll be back to my regular lymie self.
