A little over a month ago, my LLMD took me off Rifampin (kept me on Doxy) because almost all my symptons had either gone away or were very much improved.
After a few weeks, I began feeling worse. so he put mr back on the Rifampin; I will see him next week.
I have been back on Rifampin for alomst 2 weeks, and today I suddenly feel much worse--I am very weak on my left side, especially my arm/hand, and I was so light-headed at church this morning that I left, afraid I would faint.
I'm just wondering, is this a herx, or a symptom flare? If it's a flare, which disease is it most likely to be?
I have been dx'ed with Lyme and Ehrl, but I'm wondering about Bart (not tested) or Babs (negative tests).
Thanks in advance.

I'd say Bart...

Oh yeah, duh, forgot to mention, I just sstarted taking a more intense mangosteen product, and I took that this morning with what little breakfast I ate.
Symptoms started about an hour or two after that. Not sure if that had anything to do with it or not.
My vision has been rapidly deteriorating, but no one can tell me why...

Are you feeling more fatigued and weak all of the time? Hard to drag yourself around and just want to sit? If so, I would guess the bart is knocked down and babesia may be coming out. Do you have any other symptoms which could be babesia symptoms?
The other possibility is that the mangosteen juice is causing some type of reaction. I guess you will know if you stop it for a few days and see if you continue to feel this way. Then you will know if it is related to the juice.
