I'm pretty sure I have Lyme disease from the symptoms (arthritis, muscle pain, fatigue, insomnia, etc). The ELISA test from my non LL MD came back negative.
I have requested a Western Blot (appt next wednesday for the test). My question: I would like to start treatment as soon as possible, and was thinking of taking some of the natural remidies ASAP, but was wondering if by taking them they could make the WB test negative? I want the best test possible, so I would delay the natural remidies until the test, if it would be better in terms of not making a false negative.
I can't get an appt with the localk LLMD until mid May. Thanks.

Your symptoms can point to any number of chronic stealth infections and nutritional deficiencies.
I see that NEXT Wednesday you are getting a Western Blot.
What lab? Igenex is the best. Most others don't test all the "bands" and often do not use the proper procedures for testing.
Will you have an IgG and and IgM?
I would really just wait until you can see a LLMD. While some "natural" approaches might get your immune system to rev up, they could also subdue test results, affecting you negatively.
Even if you wait, In the meantime, you might consider taking Olive Leaf Extract &/ or Allicin (or freeze dried organic garlic capsules). As you get closer to your LLMD appt, call and ask about herb before testing - yes or no?
Even now, you might call the LLMD and ask bout testing now.
Getting blood drawn on Wednesday, you need to be certain it will arrive at the lab on Thursday and they will have time to process it. Some labs let it sit around for too long and it's spoiled.
Igenex will only accept blood samples early in the week.
You might start a gluten-free diet and be sure all your nutrition is in place as well as attention to sleep hygiene - resting in the dark even if you can't sleep.
Mid-may is just 5 or so weeks away. Unless your specific LLMD has some advice for you before then, I would really just wait for the tests.
And - if you EVER had a bulls eye rash from a tick bite, that says a lot right there. -

In addition to the usual coinfections from ticks (such as babesia, bartonella, ehrlichia, RMSF, etc.), there are some other chronic stealth infections that an excellent LLMD should know about:

I guess I will try the recommended supplements and excersize (and rest) first while I wait. I'll do the Western blot at my MD anyways, since it is set up.
I am changing doctors (regular MD) anyway (as soon as I can get an initial appt), as I am not satisfied my old one is objective to my plight anymore. Hoping a new doc will at least look at me with an open mind (until the LLMD appointment, at least).

Last January, I was in bad shape. Before getting an LLMD appointment and having really bad symptoms, I started Dr. B's supplements. I saw improvement in two days.
