It's difficult to determine...

It probably takes some trial & error. It depends on your genetics, how long you have been ill, what other infections, viruses, bacteria you have, how long you can take certain drugs due to side effects, whether you have allergies or adverse reactions....

In my case, I'd been ill for a long time. I gave the abx a good try but I decided to go off of them & just use the herbs. Herbs can be quite strong but most people try to do it with abx or a combination of both.

I do think you can get better with herbs alone but it's not for everyone. The drugs are more commonly used but they aren't always effective for everyone.

Currently I am primarily treating bart and I am on Bactrim DS and baixin. I take nystantin every other day for yeast. This has been very effective. I am feeling 90 percent well but know it doesn't take long to relapse with bart. I also take a lot of supplements to support my immune system, detox and break down biofilm.

I take B100, B12, Magnesium citrate, Methionine, Lysine, Acetyl L carnitine, Alpha Lipoic acid, Co Q10, resveratrol, lactoferrin, nattokinase, and acetyl cysteine.

I was taking TOA free cats claw and grapefruit seed extract for lyme which helped keep it suppressed. I used HH for bart but relapsed, forcing me back on abx.

I have andrographis which I will add to the above soon. I have also taken stephania. I just can swallow so many pills.
