I had never heard of it. I took a look at the site, found it a little hard to find out where on their site they had the real specs, versus the other information on why you might want it, and so on.
Looks like it will block EMF's by the material, from going down into your lap. I'm guessing it won't do anything about the EMF's floating up into the air and your head an so on. Also guessing it won't do anything about the wireless signals a laptop is going to send and receive.
My understanding is that shielding devices that work by having a metal material that doesn't let the EMF's through will perform best if they are electrically grounded. Maybe it works this way, but I could not find anything saying that. When not grounded, the material will build up the EMF charge and eventually radiate it out somewhere.
Perhaps it is something that would be at least a little helpful. But, it didn't jump out to me as anything that would be really great (at least from my perspective, as I consider my EMF sensitivity needs).

Michael,
Thanks for checking out the website and giving me your input. Pretty much what I was thinking and wondering about too. Since I'm not really too knowledgeable about stuff like this I wanted to get some feedback from people who understand this better than I do.
I appreciate you taking the time to investigate this and sharing your thoughts with me.
