Based on recommendations, I ordered Florastor. I noted the yeast allergy warning, but I didn't think I had an allergy, just a sensitivity (I have issues with baker's yeast and brewer's/nutritional yeast).
First capsule: Several hours later, painful abdominal bloating Second capsule (next day): Greatly increased painful abdominal bloating
Does anyone else have these symptoms with Florastor? I am thinking that NO yeast is a *good yeast* for me.

Hmmm... I take Florastor - but don't have those symptoms as a result.
I've read that you can have some of those types of symptoms when starting any new probiotic though - wonder if that applies to Florastor as well?
I have also used several different brands of S. Boulardii - you could try switching brands.
Sorry you're having this trouble!

I had a problem very similar to that.
I only took it twice or three times before I had to say, "This is NOT for me!"
It made me really bloated and constipated, and I had a lot of abdominal pain. Didn't feel like a die off...it felt like my body hated the stuff.
I was taking the Jarrow brand. I have only read about one other person on here besides you and I who had this reaction. But I guess it does happen.
What did the warning on Florastor say? Like what are the yeast allergy symptoms? Because my Jarrow brand didn't have any warnings that I recall.

DO NOT take Florastor if: You have a yeast allergy or if you are currently taking any antifungal products (this could stop Florastor from working).

I didn't think yeast sensitivity was so rare, but if you're the only other person who has reported this, it must be. I have the same symptoms from baker's yeast and brewer's/nutritional yeast, which I do not eat. Also, hidden sources of yeast like yeast extract ... I read all labels.

i just started taking the jarrow brand s. boulardii about two days ago.
yesterday i had horrible bloating and gas/abdominal pains.
i was thinking it was from the biaxin but now i wonder if it's the yeast.
it is exactly the way you all described it -- pain and bloating.
i don't know if i should ride it out or just quit.

Based on the first dose and then the second dose, I would expect each day to get worse.
