- As you say you are "on 15 drops 2Xday and tolerate it ok" --- that's great. As SixGoofyKids and Boxer Mom explained above, yes, it does cause a herx so just back down in dose if that gets to be too much. Always back down when you can, and be sure liver support is in place.
Here's what I wrote before I went back to see you are already established with it. I'll keep this for others who may be all new to it.
I could never do this. For me, it's not even about a herx, the drops, even in a cup of water, are really hard on my G.I. tract regarding instant and lasting burning and irritation. Some don't have this problem but some do. Be sure to drink enough water if take the drops.
Start with ONE drop in a cup of water. Follow by more plain water.
Capsules are easier on the esophagus since they open up in the stomach. Still, start with just ONE, in the middle of a meal until you see how you do.
You might still have drops to use as a mouth wash, diluted with water.
Have some DGL handy if you get any stomach upset. Just google for that term, it's a special kind of licorice. -

I just tried that (swishing for thrush), and it worked. I don't know what would make it more or less successful.

I used the capsules for about ten months - took about 1000mg a day. I think it probably helped because lyme is not my primary problem any more. It is bart. But I am pulsing tindamax twice a week right now, just to be sure.

Thanks everyone. I am not the most compliant person I have to admit, but I did put 3 drops on my toothbrush for my white tongue than rinsed it good afterwards...the next day no more thrush.

nefferdun: when you say you pulse twice a week, what does that mean?
You take it 2 days a week only?

- As kimmie has discovered, GSE drops can work wonderfully as a toothpaste. No other is needed. A glycerine tincture is better than an alcohol tincture for this purpose as it's thicker and a bit more gentle than one with alcohol.
For those with thrush - after brushing, swishing and rinsing, a fresh drop in a cup of water is good to swallow - coating the esophagus to help candida there - is good. Just be aware that it may burn a bit and have a plain glass of water handy it it does.
Olive leaf extract is also good for candid and some brands of OLE tincture also have GSE. OLE by itself has not (at least yet) has no documented application to helping the cyst form of lyme, though OLE is excellent against candida and many other things, but that's another topic.
The two products below are suggested by my ND and they work for my mouth. I use no other toothpaste. The Seed-a-Dent is a bit kinder to mouth tissue as it has some soothing and healing herbs, too.
I would prefer they come in a glass bottle rather than plastic, though. The glycerine base is less stinging than an alcohol extract would be.
Extract of Grapefruit (50% glycerine and 50% citricidal) -- Citricidal is Grapefruit Extract
SUGGESTED USAGE: Adults--use 5 to 10 drops three times per day diluted in juice or tea.
NEVER USE FULL STRENGTH-ALWAYS DILUTE!!
Some OTHER Suggested Uses: Internally--digestive cleansing, dental rinse, throat gargle, nasal rinse. Externally--facial cleanser, nail treatment, scalp treatment, toothbrush cleaner, vegetable/fruit/meat/poultry wash. Accompanying brochure explains all above uses. -

I buy Nutribiotic capsules from my local health food store. Been on them from day 1. 125mg 2x / day. I originally took them to fight yeast / fungus. But was glad to know it also busts cysts.
