I was diagnosed in March 09. I became pregnant (unplanned) in Sept 09 after 6 months of treatment I had to go off meds that had really helped and only take amox. for the next ten months. I had made a lot of progress before I got pregnant and I felt pretty good during pregnancy. I thought I had at least maintained my improvements. I felt great for the first 4 weeks after the birth. But for the past 5 weeks I have been as sick as I was at my sickest. My relapse of symptoms as well as new ones has been difficult as I have to young ones to take care of. I have burning and tingling all over my body along with a lot of muscle twitching, also my hand feels weak and numb, I have a lot of back and neck pain/burning. My doctor ordered an MRI scan of my head and changed my meds a bit but I cannot do anything to drastic as I can't get sicker right now because I have to care for my baby. Any opinions on what might be going on?
Thanks so much

If the doctor changed the meds, it could be a herx, but if it started before the meds were changed, I'd guess a worsening of symptoms.
Any time you change meds you can feel worse.
Congratulations on your baby!

Unfortunately the med change was only a couple days ago so the symptoms worsened almost a month before any med changes.

Then I'd say it's a worsening of symptoms. Hang in there, hopefully the new meds will get you back to where you were.

It sounds like a relapse of symptoms. Be careful if you are breast feeding your baby. I have read it can be transferred in your milk. I hope you get something to get you back on track. It takes so much energy to take care of babies!

Changes in hormones can cause all kinds of strange things. It could be just your body reacting to no longer being pregnant.
