Been doing really well: started adding some herbs - Enula and now Noni - to Malarone and a course of Riamet for Babesia. Riamet was about three weeks ago. Anyway, I am now starting to run a fever, with sweats and some really deep tickle-like sensations through my chest. Just had cardiac workup and everything was fine: have tachycardia and Pacs/ Could this be a babesia herx? Does it sound like anything else?

Riamet only clears the blood forms of Babesia but not the dormant forms in bone marrow and who knows where else.

It sounds like a Babesia relapse.

I've been on Malarone for a while: would I relapse with babesia if I am still taking it (and Enula and Artimisiae)?

Enula kills roundworms, too, and you can have symptom from a die off of them. You would also see remnants of them.

How much Malarone are you on? How long have you been taking it?

It could be a herx from adding those things three weeks ago, sounds like the right timing.

I have seen no evidence of worms. I did the Riamet about three weeks ago & it did not seem to do much of anything. I have been on the Malarone for a long time: maybe four months. THe only thing I have added recently is Noni: do about 10 drops a day of the Cowden tincture. Also started some Cardamom powder with it cause somebody here (maybe Brussels??) said Noni & Cardamom cured hr Babesia. Any thoughts welcome: I did have a bit of diarrhea yesterday, and my stomach is not real happy today...Any thought welcome.

I am not sure if this helps you with your question, but I herxed on Cardamom powder. It was almost immediately. I put some in my tea and got a HORRIBLE toothache. I never get toothaches so this was a new thing to me. I was like holy cow... Do I really want to keep adding that to my tea ? It was a really powerful toothache pain.

I also tried chewing the Cardamom seeds. I get some kind of reaction almost every time. I did this for about a week. I haven't had any in about a week. I needed a break only after a week of trying this. I plan on added the Cardamom back in soon.

Janet- you said this does not clear the dormant forms in the bone marrow? What does ? Does Mepron/Zith combo take care of that ? Thanks

I started slow with the Cardamom: over a week or so got up to about a tablespoon. Maybe adding the Noni to it? I have stopped both for now, but still feel really sick: weak, sweaty, heart racing, incredibly anxious. No headaches or air hunger: never had either of those. Can I ask why you started the Cardamom?

I read a post on here and also an article on the internet. I think the post was from (Brussels)and i think the person changed to another name.

They had a whole list of stuff that helped them kick Babesia and i thought it would be worth a try. Especially since it sounded relatively harmless.... It is a spice, so i thought i would try. I should have started out with a tiny pinch. Lol

I added about a teaspoon to my tea, silly on my part! I underestimated the power of "just a spice" ! Lol I know my herx was from that because it hit me in minutes and that was the only thing new i added.

I looked for the Noni but was unable to find it so i just opted for the Cardamom.

One of my biggest issues is headaches.

I also take Turmeric, but that seems to help not herx so....not sure how that would factor in for you.

(I take a bunch of other stuff too, but wasn't taking it when i had the Cardamom herx)

Why did you start on the Cardamom ?
