I have taken 21 days of Doxycycline, 100mg. I do not feel any better. My hips still hurt a lot and it is hard to walk. Now what do I do?

Get to an LLMD. (Lyme Literate MD.)
You don't give a lot of back ground information, but from what I can tell, you got the standard Doxy prescription from a mainstream doctor. 100mg is not enough and neither is 21 days.
Most people are on 400mg / day for months. This is what it takes. Only an LLMD can do this.
Do you know when you were bitten? How long did you have symptoms, etc? Are we talking days, weeks, months, or years?
An LLMD will know how to treat this and cure it. There are some good ones in your area. Post a note in teh "seeking a doctor" section.
Also, download and read Burrascano's treatment guidelines. This is a good reference manual. Dr. B has cured numerous lyme patients (including himself.)

Yikes!
100mg won't help you. Like bcb says you need to get to a Lyme Dr. that will give you proper treatment so you can get proper treatment and also address any co-infections.

Hi BigGuy! Welcome aboard. As you probablly know by now, the 'standard' treatment recommended by most MD's is insufficient. You are not alone.
I was started on the same treatment as you, then halted altogether in order to retest for Lyme thru the Lyme specialty lab, Igenex.
Also want to point out that although the regular doctors say you can get well in 4 weeks, it's untrue. I know this because of myself.
I recently contracted Lyme (in May) & started treatment in early July....very soon. I've been on meds for 7 weeks & still have symptoms, so that is the proof that it's not curable in 4 weeks, like the IDSA says.
Good luck, you'll find a doc soon...

Agree with all others. I basically had the same treatment as you and I was CDC positive thru Labcorp - so that was a definite positive and my current doctor said I was lucky as many people don't test positive as their bodies stop making antibodies after awhile. Needless to say, my initial treatment was not long or strong enough and it took me 1 1/2 years to get to an LLMD for proper treatment - so please, go see an LLMD.
