my left arm when I rotate it around in a full swing circle motion I get a lot of cracking and clicking noise coming out of what seems to be the left side of my rib cage.. although it causes no pain I am concerned of the noise.
is this a form of arthritis caused by the lyme?
will it improve? or will it at best stay how it is?
any thoughts or experience on cracking and popping noised in joints? especially left rib cage

I wish I had something scientific to offer up but I don't. I think this is a Lyme symptom.
Last September you could hear me coming down the hall from all of the popping and cracking that was going on in my knees, ankles, and hips. I thought maybe it was from getting older (40?).
It completely resolved in a few months though. No more snap, crackle, pop whatsoever!!!

Many of my joints make clicking and popping noises (worst are hips and knees). I used to be a dancer (15yrs) so I suspect this to be the cause. The clicking and popping started when I was a teenager and has gotten worse over the years, well before I got Lyme.
My hips pop out of place often too. Talk about creepy and painful to be walking and feel it come out then hear it and feel it snap back into place. The clicking noises are loud enough for others to hear and ask "what's that?". When it's bad it almost sounds like I'm walking on a ceramic tile floor with a rock stuck in my shoe.

Uh, this ABSOLUTELY is a Lyme symptom! Dr. B talks about it a lot. And he talks about it going away with treatment.
I've had it for years, although Prolotherapy got rid of most of it (that's another topic).
It should go away with treatment, except where the damage already done is too great. In that case, Prolotherapy would do the trick. Go to GetProlo.com for tons of info. It's saved my life.
But the main answer is, yes, a Lyme symptom. And, of course, injury and overuse can be a factor, too. I was a dancer for many years, too, and had too many injuries.
Paul, Martha's Vineyard---lovely, but is that where you got your Lyme?? Of course, CT is EXTREMELY endemic, so that's just as likely.
