Anyone getting bad headaches after going on flagyll after having been on bicillin-la. In other words, after finishing a few days of bicillin-la shots then going on a few days of flagyll, is anyone getting bad headaches?

Sorry- I think I am misspelling flagyll. And I won't be able to respond to any posts till Friday, the earliest.

Thanks. We'll Win (or we'll go down fighting....no, I'd rather win)

I get horrible headaches from flagyl on day three or four.
The pain is exactly in the damaged area, so I am sure it is die off.

Thank you for responding everybody. Janet Thomas, I am using bicillin shots about five days a week then I start flagyl.

Lately I have been getting horrible headaches when I switch to flagyl and the headaches have been lasting for several days.

In the past my flagyl headache started about the next day after I started flagyl. Now the headache starts perhaps later in the same day I start the flagyl. The next day gets very bad. But now the headache is lingering, perhaps as long as I remain on the flagyl.

I have had lyme for many years. I guess I have more to experience.

Thank you for your support.

We'll Win (and then we'll laugh).

I am on flagyl now and woke up last night with a horrible headache. It resurfaced this afternoon. Flagyl is very painful for me to endure. Luckily, I'm only on 2 days of flagyl and I don't have to take it again for a month! Hope you feel better.

Bicillin + Flagyl is an excellent treatment protocol. That is one of the combinations that got me well. Headaches can be part of the herx reaction too. Usually if you take things like Ginkgo biloba it helps it go away but check with your doctor first.

We'll Win,
I hope you are feeling better. Flagyl can be a hard drug to tolerate - I didn't have headaches but a lot of joint pain in legs. Good luck and I can't wait for the day we can laugh after we win [Smile]

Thanks again, everyone.

Just getting responses and knowing other people care (hey, us lymies are still people too, I think...well sometimes I'm a zombie)puts a smile on my face.

Yes, Wiggie, the day will be sweet when we're the ones who will be laughing.
