I am a 19 year old girl in Bar Harbor who has unbelievable joint pain and a doctor that doesn't really believe in lyme. She yelled at me yesterday and made me cry when I suggested that lyme tests often have false negatives. I need someone with an open mind who will consider treating me for lyme, or at least knows about lyme that I can talk to and confirm/rule out my diagnosis.

Thank you!

Dear orarian,
I'm so sorry you were verbally & emotionally (and hence, financially) abused by your doctor!

Unfortunately, that happens very often. Most conventional Western medical doctors in America have been brainwashed by the IDSA, CDC, and corrupt corporations in what has become "The Lyme War." So sad that you got hit with crud from your IDSA-lovin' duck (If it quacks...!). Guess she responded inappropriately because you know more about Lyme disease than she.

Welcome to the supportive LymeNet community. Members here can help point you in the right direction for an educated LLMD (Lyme-literate M.D.) trained by ILADS (International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society).

If you have Lyme disease and/or some of the common co-infections, only a LLMD or LLND (Lyme-literate Naturopath) will treat you appropriately so you can get back to good health long-term.

I'm not familiar with LLMD's in your region, but others will come along to respond to this post.

Meantime, i welcome you to create a new post in our "Medical" forum describing any symptoms you have been experiencing. Members will share their experiences & ideas with you there.

You may also wish to look at threads in our "General Support" section and you'll see that Western medical doctors have abused many Lyme patients. I could be counted among the wounded, but i've moved on to healing with my LLMD!

orarian, be heartened that your innate wisdom led you to keep questioning. You know your own body and your severe joint pain tells you to seek healing. Bravo! Have hope.

Smile

Hi, Orarian----Welcome! I sent you a private message also. [hi]

I'm sorry but I am no longer accepting any private messages due to my own battle with lyme.
