I have been diagnosed with Lyme and would like to find a doctor in Oklahoma, preferably the Tulsa/NE area. I did not find a support group listed for Oklahoma, but have also sent an email to the 2 in north Texas. If anyone else has any information, I would greatly appreciate it!

Good Morning

You don't have a private e mail listed so I'll try this....your right there are no LLMD's in Tulsa. But get on I44 and head to Springfield Missouri to see Dr. C he also has a website www.drcharlescrist.com
he is the best. We travel from Clearwater Fl with my son in law. We find him to be compassionate and caring and has an office staff that is most helpful. Good Luck

Joan

Yes, yes, www.drcharlescrist is the very best and closest to you...how lucky you are for most of his patients come from much farther, from all over the US.

Welcome to LymeNet!!!

If you don't read another post, please read this one that our dear Tincup has put together. It is very important for you to arm yourself and the way to do that is knowledge...you'll get it in this post.

I am so glad that you got that appointment with Dr. C.

Shortly, maybe even this week, since this is Monday, you'll get papers to fill out and I think, some information about Lyme Disease.

He is very thorough and his office staff is the best. They will always call you back if the need to call them arises.

Believe me you have now got the best on you side.

Keep coming back.

Rosemary

there is a doctor in shawnee ok. he is not a lyme sp. but is treating my mother for the late ner.lyme. he in the past year he has researched lyme with the help of llmd in tx. and is very willing to do all he can. Even if you suggest it! i think he is now the closest thing oklahoma has to a llmd. every time we go back he tell us somthing new he learned. To me after so many doctors in ok refused to even try to help this doctor is heaven sent. my mother is very slowly regaining but at the stage she is in it is to be expected.
Pott. county was the first county to have a reported case of lyme if i am not mistaking it was a paient of his
also there is no support group in oklahoma
