I found a tick on my two year old daughter last night. It most likely had only been there a few hours but I guess that doesn't really matter. If she starts to show symptoms (or should I even wait that long?) I'd like to take her to a pediatrician that's up to date on the best ways to treat Lymes. Can anyone recommend someone local to the Boston area?

Your dear little girl needs to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor a.s.a.p. Non LLMDs have no clue about this disease or its complex treatment!
Let me first start by saying not all ticks carry Lyme Disease. However, the top Lyme pediatrician says it only takes 15 MINUTES for the body to be infected if the one that bites is a carrier!
So, yes, time does matter. Don't wait, she needs to get on antibiotics now!
When you call for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to be seen sooner by doing this.
