My 18 year old daughter was recently diagnosed with lyme.
She had a bulls-eye rash in late September and was given 2 weeks of doxycycline.
Started having symptoms end of October; headaches, stiff neck, low grade fever
She was diagnosed with Mono December 2, 2016
She attends college in Oxford, Ohio. ID doctor in Ohio said she was successfully treated with the 2 weeks doxycycline in September, and current symptoms are Mono still.
Need to find Lyme doctor here for her to be seen over winter break
Thank you!!

You've received names of Lyme doctors in CA, but I wanted you to also have one of a good Lyme doctor in OH, so your dear daughter can get treatment out there when she is in school.
The bull's-eye rash is definitive for Lyme and, unfortunately, your daughter was under-treated.
Stay away from Infectious Disease Doctors (IDSA). They believe one dose of antibiotics is enough and don't believe in chronic Lyme. Patients end up getting sicker.
Here is a link for you to read about "Two Standards of Care":
Your daughter needs to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. She needs to go where they are.
Also most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":

If you go to www.MarylandLyme.org and look at the menu on your left you will see DOCTOR REFERRALS.
You can find Lyme treating health care professionals there, listed by state and country. It also has links to help find alternative doctors, chiropractors, specialists in Morgellons and MTHFR.
The Lyme Doc site also has a listing for good labs, links to find a naturopathic doctor, acupuncture and oriental medicine doctors too.
Holistic dentists, experts in mold, and even places to avoid are listed there.
Here is a "Help For You" page that can help with the cost of labs, provide free or reduced priced medications, grants to assist those under 25 with Lyme related costs, free cell phones and more.
