Recently diagnosed with Lyme, which is NOT common in Ohio. Not thrilled with my current infectious disease doc.
Recent transplant from the East Coast, so looking for experienced recommendation for Lyme docs in Northeast Ohio or Boston area. I have already perused previously posted links so no need to resend.
Specific doc recommendations are preferred. Previous Partners patient so if I can stay w/in Partners or Cleveland Clinic system(s), that would be preferable.

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for OH (don't know if the LLMD takes insurance - you would have to contact the doctor's office to find out).
Most Lyme-literate doctors (LLMDs) do not take insurance, due to the hostile politics surrounding this insidious disease. Read poster TF's explanation about this:

Welcome TechieTechie
If you aren’t happy with your current ID doctor, you will not be happy with Cleveland Clinic.
Cleveland Clinic ID docs follow the IDSA guidelines ( Infectious Disease Society). They will treat you for 14 to 28 days with antibiotics and declared you ‘cured’.
Many Lyme researchers and ILADS (International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society) say to treat until all symptoms are gone.
You can also contact your area’s Lyme Support group. Support groups offer first-hand experiences with your area’s LLMD’s. https://m.facebook.com/CJMOSCHELL/
I will send you pm for NE Ohio and Massachusetts. Good luck to you on your healing journey.
