Hi everyone. I think that there has been some misunderstanding reguarding my posts. I was just an ignorant newbie when I posted a dr.s name. I might recommend that you be a little more understanding when new people come on board. I wasn't trying to do anything wrong, I just didn't know all of the rules yet. One of my posts just disappeared. (I am not angry, just a suggestion.)

Anyway, I went to two dr.s in my area and they both rx'd 10 to 14 days of Tetracylcine. I was not comfortable with that. They also did not recognize it as Lyme. So, I went to the Dr. that was recommended to me on this sight (Dr.K) and was SUPER pleased. She rx'd 3 months of Doxy and hoped that it would get it. She will reevaluate if I need more in 3 months. She tested me and sent it to Igenex and will test again in 3 months.

Sorry for any misunderstanding and for being an uniformed poster.

angel

I was really pleased and

Hi, Angel!

I think this whole Lyme thing can be really confusing, especially at first.

I'm pretty sure in the beginning that I posted docs' names, and it was just out of innocence. (like you, I ended up finding an LLMD based on suggestions members made on this board).

Since our LLMDs represent our best chance for help, people go out of their way to protect their identities. Now that I know a lot more about Lyme and its standing in the medical community, I understand this a lot more.

I'm just so glad you found your way here, to this site, and that you were able to find (and see) a doctor you felt was knowledgable and good.

Please keep us posted about your progress.

I wish you speedy healing!

Andie

NO problem. It happens all the time. I reported it to the moderator so he could take the dr's name out of the subject heading....only he can do that. It's not something you can edit.

I think he eliminated your other post in Medical because of the dr's name and because it didn't belong in Medical. Since you already had a similar post in Seeking, he left that one and just fixed it.

Normally, the moderator will email the person and tell them why a post was eliminated.
I don't mean to speak for LouB, but this hopefully clarifies a few things for you.

We're glad you're here with us!! [Smile]

Thanks everyone. I do understand how the medical community can be towards anyone that does not go with their philosophies. Sad!

angel
