I am hoping this post gets me someplace.I need to find a Dr in Berks Co pa. I have been refered by my Primary Physician however I have to wait 2 months.Thats ridiculous.E-me directly at [email protected] if you have any clues. I'm sorry to hear about the lag time till your appointment. Unfortunately the LLMDs are so booked-up, dangerous amounts of time often elapse before new patients can be seen.
Has your PCP put you on antiobiotics till you can see a specialist? If not, and assuming that both of you belief that you are infected, I'd implore him to give you a script that will last long enough for your evaluation with an LLMD. Keep searching for someone who will, if he declines. If you have any doubts as to whether the Dr. your PCP referred to is a Lyme Literate M.D. make enquiries here and in your area. Also, please read here and on linked sites for recommended dosages and antibiotics.
It may take a while before you receive replies from those in your area because many patients are presently attending the hearings for Dr. Jemsek in North Carolina.
