I am very happy to find this site! Here goes my story. about 6 months ago I started to have weakness in my left arm, didn't think much about it and started to see a chirpractor. After some time he advised me to see a nuerologist. This dr. did some nerve conductive tests which showed problems in the left arm. Right then he ordered blood work, which came back neg and an MRI of my neck. With no findings on the MRI he diagnosed me with a neurological disorder, Mostlt leaning to ALS. I went to a different neurologist and he is not sure my arm does seem to be a bit stronger but definitely not weaker. Now I have tightness and tingling in my legs, mostly thighs. It's almost like they itch inside.?. I went to my primary and pretty much had to trick the dr. I saw into giving me a rx for doxycycline. I am waiting on the Western Blot to come back (which I have a feeling will be negative) but I have been on the doxy for 5 days. Today I am feeling very tingly on my face and arms, my right arm feels stiff, but not weak. My legs feel like they are just harder to control like I am thinking about every step that I take, but they are also not weak. When I sleep at night I tend to wake up often and need to do a serious strech through my whole body. Everything is so tight. I also have days when I have very sore throats, swollen glands and feverish. I also have a swollen area under my left armpit, the same arm that I ma having the difficulty with. I have been excercising the left arm and I am gaining some strenght back, very slowly. I can finally tie my kids shoes and turn on and off the wipers in the car. Needless to say I feel like everytime I see a dr I am at square one. Does any of this sound like it could be Lymes and if so does anyone know a Lymes specialist in Albany, NY? Sorry so long, just looking for any help!
