I am 17 years old and have about 45-50 symptoms off of a list of 70 for Lyme. We are pretty sure I have it and we are waiting to send in the Igenex Kit. The problem is that I can't take abx. I am anaphylactic to most of them, and they are too worried to test others. I am very ill and need the name of a LLMD ASAP!!!!!! Please let me know of a good one who can handle a complex case and who uses integrative medicine to treat.

Finally, I did have the rash...so we are almost 99% sure I have Lyme.

Thank you!

welcome! powerful story there where you are allergic to abx, antibiotics! there are 1-2 dozen at least on the board.

my 1st suggestion is doing a SEARCH found at top
llmd who treats without antibiotics
MEDICAL
body text
any date
and leave membership no. blank

hopefully, some posts will pop up; read all the replies you get ok.

if it doesnot work, use BACK until you get where you typed in blanks and change one to SUBJECT HEADING ONLY. hit send to see if you get respondses.

my other advise is this!

Go to SUPPORT GROUPS found in left-hand column, by country, then by state! Check 1st page to see where the various groups are located for your state. CLICK on link closest to you.

Read carefully if support group leader wants you to call them or EMAIL! Many are very sick themselves; so be patient in getting a response from them. Thanks!

SUPPORT GROUPS .... LYME FOR ``YOUR'' STATE! See below!! 8-19-07

You might be interested in joining your online state yahoo group. All are set up the same way with the state name and lyme run together as one word, http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/STATENAMELYME, e.g.
newyorklyme,

except for 4 states which have a hyphen between the statename and lyme, e.g. southcarolina-lyme. Those states are SC, WY, ND, SD.

The groups were set up by Phyllis Mervine of CALDA, Calif. LDA, to help create an infrastructure for the Lyme community for patient support, local resources, and political action. thx Phyllis!

good luck wiith your abx allergy! [Wink] [group hug]

I did that but there is nothing that came up. I guess I just have to wait and see what happens. I also tried to get info from the support group, but the closest one is no longer a group. [Frown]

Did you try all the groups in the So.Cal area?
California
I see multiple groups that would be a possiblity for you.

You might have to work a bit harder to find a Dr that can give you the specific treatment you need.

Another thing you might do is post on the Medical forum and explain the same problem to them. There are others who are allergic to abx, who don't read in this forum.

Thank you for all your help. I got the link and you are right it is still there. I meant the support group for LA isn't there anymore. I will contact people who are the next closest to LA. I will also look in the Medical part.

Thank you!!!

Meg's link does direct to an active support group in CA. Perhaps you are having a problem with your browser blocking pop-ups?
You can cut & past this link to go directly to the site:

I tried links in the last post below and the message states that there is no user name or log in needed. Do you have a direct link to groups? I am unsure how to navigate to get to this info. Thanks.
